Furitek Scythe Aluminum Rail Frame For SCX24 Jeep Gladiator - Beige
My wife's Gladiator is a completely different animal now. This chassi was part of a suite of mods that I did, and now It's an LCG MONSTER.
The frame looks nice and spiffy. It feels well manufactured and matches the color of the car exterior. It comes with many shock positioning holes however they are not directly screw in. You will need tiny nuts to secure the screws from the inside which can get quite cumbersome and would not recommend those kind of changes on the field. It feels like the placement of the holes matches well with the older frame however, additional treal weights that are placed on the sides of the frame were not alighning well and are currently held in by one screw vs two. Its noted that it lowers the center of gravity of the vehicle, but im not sure the upgrade to this frame shows it very much. Adding side rock sliders was very difficult and took some time for find positioning that would work. I do not have a furiteck motor at the moment, but upgrading the motor may cause those rock sliders to not work anymore given repositioning need.
overall, it is a fancy looking frame that allows more options for shock position. However, for the price and difficulties installing certain 3rd party upgrades, it may not be worth the change. If you have money to spare and want to tinker around and find solutions to 3rd pary upgrades that may not work as easily as with the original frame, then this product might be for you.
Love the scythe rails! And now there available for the gladiators! Home run for Furitek USA!
